St. Egidien area
The St. Egidien area contains more than only the sub-locations of St. Egidien itself. The are is full of sites containing Frankenberg, Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Kuhschnappel, Rüsdorf & Wüstenbrand. It is the best known location of lithophysae agate for the eastern part of Germany.

Hohenstein-Ernstthal
The site of Hohenstein-Ernstthal "Heiterer Blick" is located in the forest but not really near the area called 'Heiterer Blick'. The t-eggs can get quite large and show more activities like moss
and gravity banding than the St. Egidien ones.
Kuhschnappel
size:

size:
A typical round shaped egg with nice moss inclusions from the sphere occurance near Kuhschnappel.
Rüsdorf
Two unique speciemns from the Forest occurance near Rüsdorf. One has an open cavity at the left (probably a perimorphose) and some nice gravity banding paired with long string moss on the right. The other pictures red stained jasper with a smokey quartz cavity.
