Fréjus (Esterell Mts.)

Till now there's only one known source for thundereggs in France - Fréjus in the Esterell Mountains. There are a few sub-locations in this area as listed above, but most are not available anymore because the area is a Natural Reserve today.

A small but neat specimen from the sub-site 'La Vigne' near Fréjus. The color of the matrix is more light green and the level banding is really cool.

Les Darboussières (La Louve)

A pretty and rather big egg from La Louve. There's a nice cavity in it. I'll try to make a photo.

Plateau de Grane

The Plateau de Grane is the main source of the Fréjus thundereggs.
